The Order Management dashboard is your control center for every order coming into your restaurant — whether it's dine-in, takeaway, or delivery. This guide explains how new orders arrive and how to manage them through to completion.

Receiving new orders

  1. New orders appear instantly on the Orders dashboard with a sound alert so your team never misses one.
  2. Accept or reject the order — accepted orders move to the "Preparing" status.
  3. Update the status to "Ready" and then "Served" or "Out for delivery" as the order progresses.

Order types & statuses

  • Dine-in: linked to a table, and sent directly to the Kitchen Display System.
  • Takeaway: the customer picks up their order — set a ready time so they know when to arrive.
  • Delivery: assign the order to a delivery partner or rider for dispatch.

Keeping orders organized

Each order status change is reflected in real time across the POS, KDS and customer-facing tracking screens (if enabled). This keeps your front-of-house and kitchen teams in sync, reducing delays and mistakes during busy hours.

Best practices

  • Accept or reject new orders promptly — guests can see when an order is pending.
  • Use status updates consistently so reports and analytics stay accurate.
  • Review rejected orders periodically to spot recurring issues (e.g. an item frequently out of stock).
